Mitie Group plc has recently acquired two fire and security businesses in Scandinavia.
The company purchased El Team Vest in Denmark and ABC Elektro in Norway to expand its capabilities in the European data centre fire and security systems market. Mitie stated it has an existing pipeline supporting clients including Microsoft, Google and Equinix.
El Team Vest, based in Horsens, Denmark, specializes in design, installation and maintenance of electrical works, including data networks, fire and security systems, and high-voltage electrical connections. The business generated revenue of £16.6 million in the 12 months to December 31, 2025.
ABC Elektro, located in Horten, Norway, provides fire and security services with electrical capabilities including data connections and building management systems. The business reported revenue of £2.7 million in the 12 months to December 31, 2025.
The two businesses employ approximately 100 people combined. El Team Vest will serve as Mitie’s local fire and security center of excellence in the region.
Mitie operates in the Nordic data centre market through GBE Converge, a specialist fire and security business acquired in 2023 that generates approximately £95 million in revenue, with roughly 30% from the Nordic region.
