We are committed to operating in accordance with our established ISO 9001 Quality Management System, BAFE SP203 Scheme for the design, installation, commissioning and maintenance of fire detection and fire alarm systems and our SafeContractor certification.

About BAFE

BAFE is the independent registration body for third party certified fire protection companies across the UK. A national independent register of quality fire safety service providers.

BAFE develops schemes to support quality standards for fire protection companies to achieve and become third party certified.

If you require fire protection services for your premises then you need BAFE to be sure that the company that provides them meets all the appropriate standards and is independently audited.

We are BAFE certified to the following schemes

If you require maintenance services on your fire extinguishers, you need a company registered to the BAFE Competency of Portable Fire Extinguisher Organisations and Technicians SP101 scheme. With this scheme you can also request to see the technicians BAFE ID card that is issued only after a successful registration of that technician.

If you require a fire detection and alarm system, you need a company registered to the BAFE Fire Detection and Alarm Systems SP203-1 scheme. The SP203 schemes are modular, so ensure they are certified in the area you require. These areas are: system design, installation, commissioning and maintenance.

This BAFE Scheme has been developed to permit organizations involved in the maintenance of dry and wet riser installations to become third party certificated and registered in recognition of their competence to undertake their scope of work. By so doing, the Certificates of Conformity (C of C’s) issued by Certificated Organizations, on completion of their work, will give the Customer, insurance companies and enforcing authorities e.g. the Fire & Rescue Services and Building Control, confidence the work has been correctly undertaken and provide proof of competence as required by the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order for England & Wales, the Fire Safety (Scotland) Regulations and the Fire Safety Regulations (Northern Ireland). Relevant matters relating to the safety of occupants of the buildings will have been taken into account.

The BAFE SP207 Scheme document covers demonstrating quality evidence of competency for the design, installation, commissioning and maintenance of evacuation alert systems.

Certification under this scheme provides means our customers and the relevant enforcing authorities, e.g. the Fire Authority and Building Control, can be confident that systems are adequately installed, fit for purpose and properly maintained, such that if needed in earnest by the Fire & Rescue Service they can be relied on to function correctly.

About CHAS

CHAS is a widely respected health and safety competency assessment scheme created by experienced health and safety professionals in 1997 to improve health and safety standards across the UK.​

The CHAS national database of contractors have been through a health and safety assessment, and have demonstrated adequate compliance and management standards.

About SafeContractor

SafeContractor is part of the Alcumus Group, the market-leading provider of technology-enabled compliance risk management, certification and verification services.

It is an accreditation which demonstrates to that the company meets specific standards of health and safety.

SafeContractor is utilised by hundreds of public and private sector organisations who need health & safety accredited contractors, suppliers and consultants as a pre-qualification.
